Buying Manchester
Manchester town hall leaders recently announced stunning new plans to reshape the landscape of the city of manchester. Plans include new neighbourhoods, a vertical village, new skyscrapers and new stations and several new public spaces. The new city master plan first phase will take 5 years.
In the pipeline is:
- a £1.35 billion redevelopment of the old Granada television site
- a vertical village in St. Johns
- improvements to three stations and surrounding areas, Piccadilly, Victoria and Oxford Road
- expansion of the superb First Street development and new tram station at st peters square
- new skyscrapers in the vicinity of the lone Beetham Tower
- hundreds of new apartments in Ordsall and Ancoats
These developments should they come to fruition will link some of the outlying urban areas in Manchester to create a truly great metropolitan city to rival any in europe. Watch this space!
